its been a while since my last post. i havnt had any internet connection lately. however, i am currently in a Hotel in Kobe that gives free internet. this trip has been pretty crazy so far. Ive met tons of new ppl, and ive got some great shots and footage from my trip. hopefully ill be able to upload them later. back in kyoto, our basic schedual has been mourning services (services that make our sundays seem short, and chants that make juseigei feel short as well.) we usually toured around historic sites in kyoto, and end our day with dinner (which we mostly obtain ourselves) ive got to go for now, caz im going out with some friends from canada. its our last nite with the other countries, and were ending the nite pretty sweet. (lets just say that tonites dinner took a bite out of my wallet.) tomorrow will start the first nite of our homestay experience and im looking forward to it. ill see you guys later and hopefully keep posting.

my plan for my summer japan trip is to take a video camera with me and update my vblog from japan. today i bought my camera that i will be using to record my footage. it’s the sony webbie hd and it can take 720p and 1080p quality video. so far i’m impressed with the quality, although it takes a lot of space so i had to buy a 16 gb pro duo, which aren’t cheap. nevertheless, it’s a good camera and im excited to bring it to japan.2828

Today I finally turned in my application for my Japan Trip. If I am selected, I will be able to visit Kyoto in an intercultural and religious exchange program. This program is called the YBICSE Hongwanji youth exchange and will be traveling this summer. Unfortunately, this program is only for Buddhist kids and is not open to everyone. Hopefully I will find out if I am selected by the end of June.kyoto-jpn393
